Event Details

Les amis de la montagne is a non-profit organization that protects, improves and promotes the sustainability of Montréal’s Mount Royal through advocacy, community involvement, environmental education and stewardship.

As defenders of Mount Royal's rich biodiversity, Les amis de la montagne created the Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP) a dozen years ago to raise public awareness about the importance of Mount Royal’s natural environment and its sustainability. Over the years, our volunteers planted over 35 000 indigenous trees and shrubs on the mountain, and tackled over 62 000 square meters of invasive species.

An inspiring hike whose objective is to explore the conservation initiatives led by Les amis that contribute to the enhancement of the mountain's natural environment. We will also discuss other conservation issues such as trail degradation and fragmentation of natural environments.
